We believe aging is
an athletic pursuit.
SteadyAF was built by people who understand — personally and professionally — that independence isn't guaranteed. It's earned. Every single day.
A world where preventable falls
become a never event.
We envision a world where preventable falls become a never event — where every adult has the tools, the support, and the identity of an Athlete to train their independence for life.
SteadyAF redefines aging as performance. We empower adults to stay strong, safe, and independent at home — combining proven science, smart technology, and human care to prevent falls, build confidence, and ease the strain on families.
Why we call our members
Athletes.
Every word we choose is intentional. "Patient" implies something is wrong. "Fall risk" implies inevitable failure. We reject that framing entirely. An Athlete trains. An Athlete improves. An Athlete has something to prove — to themselves, not to a diagnosis.
Stability is a skill. Like any skill, it can be built, measured, and improved through deliberate practice. When you call someone an Athlete, you're not just changing a word — you're changing what they believe is possible. That belief is the foundation of everything SteadyAF does.
You feel strong and capable — and you intend to stay that way. You're training now so you never have to recover later. Stability is part of your performance identity, and SteadyAF helps you measure and protect the gains you've already made.
You've noticed something — a close call, a moment of unsteadiness, a family member who worries. You're not in crisis, but you're paying attention. SteadyAF gives you a clear picture of where you stand and a plan to get stronger before it becomes a problem.
You've experienced a fall or a significant health event. You're rebuilding — and you're determined not to let it happen again. SteadyAF meets you where you are, respects what you've been through, and provides a structured path back to confidence and capability.
Built by people who
understand this personally.
Clinical expertise meets measurement rigor meets competitive drive. That's the combination that makes SteadyAF different.
Eric brings the clinical credibility — a surgeon who has seen firsthand what happens when prevention fails. Reid brings the measurement discipline — an operator who knows that you can't improve what you don't track. Together, they've built a system that is as rigorous as a clinical protocol and as engaging as a training program. The result is something the fall prevention space has never seen: a platform that treats stability like a performance metric and the person behind it like an Athlete.
Six principles that guide
every decision we make.
We will never ship a feature, make a claim, or cut a corner that compromises the physical or psychological safety of our Athletes. Full stop. When safety and speed conflict, safety wins — every time, without debate.
The healthcare system reacts. We prevent. Our entire product, our business model, and our reason for existing is to intervene before the fall — not to manage the consequences after. Prevention is the only acceptable outcome.
The people we serve are navigating complex lives. We owe them clarity, not complexity. If something is hard to understand, hard to use, or hard to explain in one sentence, we haven't done our jobs. Simplicity is a design constraint, not a compromise.
We are obsessed with outcomes — Stability Scores, fall rates, confidence levels, caregiver burden. If something we're doing doesn't move a meaningful needle for the people we serve, we stop doing it and redirect that energy toward something that does.
We are solving a hard problem in a slow-moving industry with enormous stakes. That requires a level of persistence that most companies aren't built for. We celebrate consistency over intensity and show up for our Athletes and each other without exception.
We have failed at things — individually and as a company. We expect to fail at more things. We treat every failure as paid tuition: extract the lesson, apply it forward, and don't pay for the same lesson twice. Failure is only unacceptable when it's repeated.
